Hurricane Melissa was a Category 5 Hurricane that directly hit Jamaica as one of the strongest hurricanes to make landfall in recorded history. This caused major damage to the entire island of Jamaica, including the town of Accompong in the Cockpit Mountains. Most buildings and homes where severely damaged including the Petersen Center, the School, and the Community Center.
Please join us in prayer for the people of Accompong and the rest of Jamaica as they recover, anyone who was injured by the hurricane, the government leaders as they lead the country in recovery efforts, the farmers to recover their damaged crops, and for the airport and road repairs so additional support can reach them.
